A Million Steps for SANE

This April, the Miad Healthcare Team is walking a million steps for SANE. Why? Well, apart from the fact that we know that getting out and about is good for our own mental health, it’s a cause close to our hearts in the healthcare sector. The medical profession is suffering from chronic stress. Strikes, staff shortages and sickness evidence the overwhelming pressure that healthcare professionals are facing. So, during this year’s Stress Awareness month, we want to play our part in talking about stress and anxiety, and how to develop coping mechanisms.

SANE is our chosen charity this year. While the Miad team is out marching across fields and pounding the pavements, we’re raising money for the outstanding work of this charity. SANE is dedicated to improving the quality of life for anyone affected by mental illness, one of the greatest challenges facing society today.
