Overview
The Distress Tolerance: A DBT Skills Workshop delivered by Miad Healthcare is designed to support individuals in coping with and enduring emotional distress during challenging situations. This programme introduces distress tolerance as a core skill set within Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and focuses on accepting and finding meaning in difficult experiences rather than attempting to change emotions or thoughts. Participants explore practical crisis survival skills, reality acceptance techniques and approaches to managing intense emotions without resorting to unhelpful or harmful behaviours.
