Overview

The Human Factors Training course delivered by Miad Healthcare is designed to support understanding of human factors and their impact on clinical safety. This programme explores why errors occur, including the role of situational awareness, distractions, systems and organisational learning. Delegates will develop understanding of key non-technical skills that influence performance and patient outcomes, and explore individual and group contributions to safety within the workplace. The course introduces recognised models and approaches to human factors, including system-based thinking, and supports participants to apply human factors principles to real workplace scenarios in order to improve patient safety in line with the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework.
