Overview
The Leader as a Coach – Coaching Skills Foundation Programme delivered by Miad Healthcare is a three-day programme designed for senior healthcare leaders, clinicians and managers who wish to develop effective coaching skills within their leadership roles. Delivered as a two-day block followed by a third day after a period of applied practice, the programme explores how coaching skills can be applied across different healthcare leadership contexts. Participants develop understanding of the differences between coaching, mentoring, counselling and performance management, and explore solutions-focused coaching approaches, including open questioning, deep listening and formative feedback. The programme places strong emphasis on psychological safety, contracting, mindset and intent as a coach, and provides extensive opportunities for practical skills development, peer learning, observation and feedback, supporting participants to embed coaching skills within their day-to-day leadership practice
