Overview
The Neurodiversity Awareness course delivered by Miad Healthcare is designed to support healthcare professionals in understanding neurodiversity within clinical and educational environments. This programme provides an overview of neurodiverse conditions that individuals may experience and explores behavioural traits that previously have been interpreted as lack of engagement or poor self-regulation. The course considers, with clinical safety as a priority, how learning and workplace environments can be adjusted to support inclusion and enable the benefits of a diverse workforce. Delegates will also explore where neurodiversity may offer advantages and where it may present barriers to achieving competency for specific roles, while reflecting on equality legislation, discrimination considerations and personal attitudes towards diversity within a safe learning environment.
